University Baptist Church, located at 4608 S Hagadorn Road in East Lansing, Michigan, is a cross-generational congregation with many participants being affiliated with Michigan State University. We have faculty, staff, university professionals, retirees and students (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate). Over the years we have become increasingly an international church with Christians from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and the Caribbean Islands. Our church supports missionaries around the world, including student mission trips as well as ministry to students (e.g. Athletes in Action). We are a warm, caring evangelical congreation that loves the Lord and believes in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to change our lives that we may become more like our Lord and affect social institutions for the good of humankind. |

University Baptist Church was ogranized in 1963 as an outgrowth of the Michigan State University Baptist Student Center. At that time there were no Baptist churches in the East Lansing - Michigan State University area.
Living in the present age where denominational labels are less and less important University Baptist Church foucses on what unites Christians rather than what divides us. We believe in encouragement, unity and obedience. In the words of John Wesley, "If your heart is as mine, take my hand." We welcome you into the fellowship of our church.
